Bob Gary, managing partner of Bob Gary Racing, gained the interest in horse racing in the early 1990s, when visiting Arlington Park with friends and family and enjoying every bit of the racing experience. An interest in horse ownership was developed over the years and many hours were spent researching the business of thoroughbred ownership and developing a sound business plan that could succeed in a very challenging yet fruitful industry. BGR currently races in Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

Chuck Simon, BGR's bloodstock advisor, has been around horses most of his life. Growing up in the backyard of Saratoga Race Course, he has had the opportunity to work for the best of the best, including Allen The Chief Jerkens, Nick Zito and D. Wayne Lukas. His bloodstock purchase success includes horses such as Divine Park (Grade 1 winner) and Geniune Devotion (Grade 3 winner, sold in foal for $1 million dollars Keeneland November)

Richard Scherer, our US based trainer, was bred to be a trainer. Richard comes from a horse racing family and has had success for many years.

Brian Lynch, our Canadian based trainer, will train one horse for us this summer at Woodbine Racetrack. Born in Brisbane, Australia, he consistently has been in the Top 5 at Woodbine and is known for his turf success.

Tom Rothstein, who is BGR's business manager, was first brought to the track by his father back in the early 90s. While he was going to school to achieve his accounting degree, he was approached by BGR to manage the stable and jumped at the opportunity.
